Abstract
AbstractThe various splittings of superdislocations in an ordered CuAu‐Type structure have been investigated. A new possible type of superdislocations has been considered. Such a type of superdislocations are sessile configurations arising from glissile configurations as already known due to certain transformations. It has been shown that under definite conditions the sessile configurations are energetically more favourable as compared with glissile configurations. The features of the transformations of the glissile configurations into the sessile ones and the reverse transformations have been investigated. A new model of twin nucleation has been proposed which is associated with the possibility of the transformations considered.
