Abstract

A cord of splenic tissue, extending from the spleen to the left testicle transperitoneally, and presenting clinically as a scrotal mass associated with an inguinal hernia, is a rare splenic anomaly. The clinical significance of the anomaly lies in its recognition by biopsy and frozen section if necessary. Preservation of the associated normal testicle is thus possible.
