Abstract
Readers of the book “ Marooned in Realtime” by Vernor Vigne are familiar with the concept of a technological singularity. Vigne suggests that the acceleration in world changes brought about by technology is rapidly moving us to a point, a so-called event horizon, beyond which everything will dramatically change. Specifically, he makes reference to a point where computer intelligence exceeds that of humans.
