Abstract
This chapter discusses the case study of Guillaume Postel. As has been remarked, and whether one has in mind platonic doctrines, christian theological tenets or Jewish kabbalah, it seems that everything turns to gold for Postel, in the sense that he is constantlyat all periods of his life, and in most of his writingsreading his own story in the material he is studying. All things being equal, knowledge is considered by Postel according to three principal modalitiesintellectual, ontological, messianic which is successively examined in the chapter. Finally, with Postels immutation, spiritual authority and the means of its transmission are carried forth into the physical, material dimension, individually and collectively, so that mankind may partake of divine knowledge and impart its final perfection to the world by measuring it.Keywords: Christian kabbalah; Guillaume Postel; messianic aspects; spiritual authority; spiritual knowledge
