Abstract

Following the discovery of high temperature of superconductivity in strongly correlated systems, the properties of Hubbard systems in low-dimensions have become very topical. In particular, significant attention has been given to the hole and the spin dynamics in the t-J limit, where the spin-hole coupling produces a rich system. Here the disruption to the spin excitations due to finite hole doping is examined in a two-dimensional antiferromagnet. Upon doping the excitation spectrum softens and rapidly collapses, even at very low doping. The effects on hole motion should be significant.
