Abstract

Dipolar spin-wave coupling in the lateral topology of adjacent magnonic stripes is studied. Two laterally parallel dipolarly coupled yttrium–iron garnet magnonic waveguides were considered. The periodic power transfer at a distance equal to the coupling length from one stripe to the other stripe was demonstrated. By means of finite-element and micromagnetic numerical simulation, the dispersion and transmission spectra of spin waves were obtained. The coupling length is determined by variation of the static magnetization angle. The lateral magnonic stripes can be used as a functional unit in planar magnonic networks as a directional coupler, spin-wave multiplexer, and microwave power divider.
