Abstract

We detected an inconsistency in our ANISO computer code which, in some cases, led to wrong results for the line intensities as well as the angular distribution and spin polarization parameters. Therefore, we needed to re-calculate the three transitions to the final states 1D2, 3P2 and 3F2 of the Xe M5N4,5N4,5 Auger spectrum. As some numbers in table 4 changed, the revised table is given below. The new data do not affect the subsequent results except for table 7 where the component Px( = 70) of the spin polarization vector reduces to 0.37 for the experimentally unresolvable 1D2 + 1G4 line. The alterations to figure 3 are almost undetectable. Table 4. The Auger energies, relative line intensities and angular anisotropy and spin polarization parameters for the Xe M5N4,5N4,5 Auger transitions. The Auger energies are given in eV. The relative line intensities add up to a hundred per cent.
