Abstract

The magnetic properties of CoGa 2O 4 have been studied by neutron diffraction (determination of spin-spin correlations) and low field susceptibility measurements on powders. A spin-glass behaviour is observed ( T f = 10 K at v = 198 Hz) due to competition between ferromagnetic n.n. and antiferromagnetic n.n.n. interactions.
