Abstract

We present theoretical estimates of the spin-flip relaxation time of conduction electrons in a quantum well subjected to a strong magnetic field B. We find that the spin-flip relaxation time increases as ${\mathit{B}}^{1/2}$ if the scatterers are pointlike defects.
