Abstract

We reconsider the serially coupled double quantum dot system in the Pauli spin blockade regime and study the current and its dependence on internal and external parameters, e.g. the interdot tunneling rate and couplings to the leads. We proceed the study of the Pauli spin blockade regime by including ferromagnetic leads, in which case we find that a pure spin one state can be formed at finite bias voltages. We finally consider the prospect of obtaining an equivalent to the Pauli spin blockade phenomenon in T-shaped double quantum dots.
