Abstract

Spontaneous epidural hematoma (EDH) is a rare entity, especially in children. Hemophilia-A is one of the predisposing causes. We report on a 4-year-old hemophilic boy who presented with spontaneous spinal EDH of the dorsal spine. He was operated promptly under cover of recombinant factor VIII. He made a significant improvement. Spinal EDH is a treatable surgical condition, even in hemophiliacs, under cover of recombinant factor VIII.
