Abstract
Epidural malignancy is the most common cause of nontraumatic spinal cord compression in children. Many different tumors may cause compression, either at presentation or sometime during treatment. Treatment options include surgery, irradiation, and chemotherapy. The decision as to the correct option depends on the tumor type and the degree of compression present.
