Abstract

Epithermal spin waves in the chain antiferromagnet KFeS 2 have been measured at the ISIS pulsed neutron source. Augmenting and correcting earlier results, the data yield a zone-boundary energy of 221(4) meV and averaged interchain dispersion energies of 41(7) meV. The zone-boundary magnon line width is found to be less than about±10 meV in the Néel state.
