Abstract

In this paper the first-order spin-wave instability threshold hc and the spin-wave linewidth ΔHk were studied in a series of single YIG and Ga-YIG crystal spheres at room temperature and at X band. The experimental results show that the k and θk dependence of ΔHk can be expressed as ΔHk=A+B sin2 2θk+Ck, and ΔHk(k=0, θk=π/2) increases linearly with the increase of the concentration of Ga substituted in YIG.
