Abstract

The spin-wave dispersion relation of partially ordered Ni 3Mn has been measured in the [111] direction by inelastic neutron scattering experiments using the triple-axis technique. The dispersion curve rises quadratically according to the relation h ̷ ω = Dq 2 and the stiffness constant D is about seven times greater than the D value estimated for the disordered (quenched) alloy.
