Abstract

Single-electron tunneling in a GaAs/AlGaAs vertical resonant tunneling device is used to evaluate the spin splitting of fully quantized electronic states. For different orientations of the magnetic field relative to the tunneling current we extracted the effective g-factor of the zero-dimensional state. In extrapolating the measured spin splitting to zero-magnetic field we observe a zero-field spin splitting of 15 μeV .
