Abstract

A two potential localized exchange (TPLE) approach is used to examine the role of spin dependence in electron impact (2s-3p) excitation of the lithium atom. Results are presented for the spin asymmetry parameter (A) and the alignment and spin-resolved orientation parameters ( lambda , Lperpendicular to , Lsperpendicular to , LTperpendicular to , gamma and mod P mod ) at 10 and 20 eV incident electron energies.
