Abstract

AbstractThe phonon bottleneck effect of Fe3+ ions in andalusite crystals is investigated at temperatures T < 0.3 K. In concentrated crystals (c = 0.56%) heating of the phonons within a frequency range exceeding the ESR line width is revealed. An analysis of the influence of the lattice oscillator heating on the spin–lattice relaxation rate is made.
