Abstract

We show that the local spin-gauge symmetry and the off-diagonal long-range order of the system of alkali atoms in a magnetic trap at the temperature T < T BEC (the temperature for the Bose-Einstein condensation transition) leads to a superflow of the atomic gas. The supercurrents are present in the interior of the systems even in the ground state. This effect does not exist at the temperature T > T BEC.
