Abstract

Thermodynamic properties of the SO(5) theory for the high- T c superconductivity (SC) are explored by means of Monte Carlo simulations on a classical model hamiltonian. Temperature versus doping rate phase diagram with a bicritical point is obtained. Enhancement of antiferromagnetism (AF) correlations is observed above the SC critical temperature. Its relation with the spin-gap phenomenon is addressed.
