Abstract

Using the Wu-Zeng expression for rotational spectrum,the spin of the lowest one of the twenty levels observed in the SD band in ~(152)Dy is determined,from the transition energies, to be 25,rather than 22 suggested previously.As a result,the calcnlated SD levels are in excellent agreement with experiments.Correspondingly, contrary to the results given previously,the kinematic moment of inertia is always larger(but not smaller)than the dynamic moment of inertia and decreases(but not increases)slowly with rotational frequency ω.
