Abstract
The effects of spin-orbit and magnetic-impurity scatterings are investigated in layered weak-disordered metals by the diagrammatic techniques in perturbation theory. We have obtained the analytical result for the cooperon in the presence of above spin-dependent scatterings, and calculated the weak-localization correction to conductivity as well as the magnetoresistance with the magnetic field perpendicular to the layers. The condition for the relevant dimensional crossover from three dimensions (3D) to 2D is shown to depend on the interlayer coupling and the characteristic times: elastic, inelastic, spin-orbit, and magnetic scattering times.
