Abstract

The magnetization process of potassium clusters arrayed in zeolite LTA is measured up to 14 T. This material shows ferromagnetism at certain concentrations of potassium atoms in cluster. The magnetization at ferromagnetic concentrations increases linearly with the applied magnetic field at higher fields. This result is well explained by a spin-cant model of antiferromagnet. A largeness of an estimated spin-cant angle is assigned to the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction strongly enhanced by the degeneracy of 1p-orbital of cluster.
