Abstract
Temporal development of polarized luminescence signals in GaSe was investigated in a magnetic field. Reflecting the quantum beat effect between the Zeeman split exciton states, it was found that oscillatory features appear on the degree of circular or linear polarization of the luminescence. Different exciton g factors were observed in longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields, showing the magneto-optical anisotropy of the present sample.
