Spherical mean transform of operator pairs

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce the notion of spherical mean transform for (commuting) operator pairs, thereby extending the notion of mean transform in one–dimensional case to a multivariable operator setting. We also study some of its properties, among which is the preservation of Taylor spectrum under the transform. We also give sufficient conditions for the transform to preserve p–hyponormality of the 2–variable weighted shifts.
