Abstract
The paper analyses the spheres of agreement and conflict in the political discourse around the strategy of combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland between February 2020 and May 2022. The paper identifies the dominant topoi present in the political discourse on the discussed topic. Particular attention was paid to the discourse around such issues as the definition of the initial situation, the introduction of restrictions and limitations, state policy on vaccination against COVID-19. The analysis shows that the main dividing lines in the political discourse related to COVID-19 have become less dependent on the general polarisation present on the Polish political scene. On many occasions, the main ruling party and the main opposition party did not differ in their views on the strategic assumptions adopted to fight the pandemic. Among the parties present in the parliament, the main dividing line was between politicians from the Confederation’s parliamentary group and those from the other groups.
