Abstract

We study the thermodynamic properties and speed of sound in a free energy evolution of quark–gluon p lasma with one loop correction factor in the mean-field potential. The values of the thermodynamic properties like pressure, entropy and specific heat are calculated for a range of temperatures. The results agree with the recent lattice results. The speed of sound calculated with one loop correction is found to be $$C_{s}^2=0.3$$ at this parameter $$\gamma _{q}=1/8$$ , and $$\gamma _{g}= 8 \gamma _{q}$$ where the largest stable droplet is formed. The value agrees asymptotically with lattice result of speed of sound. It means loop correction contributes to the value of speed of sound.
