Abstract

This paper presents a simulation model of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) Drive and ATmega328U based portable hardware using asymmetric bridge converter topology. Now a days in many electrical application BLDC & DC motor being used. But in recent time SRM become the best alternative to the conventional motor as well as BLDC motor, because of low cost, high efficiency, variable high speed & high fault tolerance capability. Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) is used in automation, aerospace and traction industries because of its high torque. SRM does not carry any magnet or winding on rotor side. In DC or AC drives SRM become first choice of customer because SRM has low maintenance. The main advantage of Switched Reluctance Motor is their simple construction.
