Abstract
Cognitive radio (CR) is viewed as a novel approach for improving the utilization of a precious natural resource, that is,the radio electromagnetic spectrum. This paper first gives an overview of the background and concept for CR,then focuses on spectrum sensing. The paper investigates three techniques of spectrum sensing, including matched filtering, energy detection and cyclostationary feature detection, finally, this paper describes a double-threshold detection method, which integrates both energy detection and cyclostationary feature detection. The simulation results and analysis indicate its efficiency and effectiveness.
