Abstract

The problem of radio-wave scattering by anisotropic wandering irregularities is examined. Allowance for the strong anisotropy of the irregularities simplifies the problem and allows a simple formula to be derived for calculation of the Doppler spectrum of a scattered signal. The calculated spectra are similar in form to the experimental spectra of radio aurora.
