Abstract

We report observations by the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer (EUVE) of the hot DA stars Feige 24, G191-B2B, HZ 43, GD 71, and GD 153 which are among the brightest white dwarfs observed by EUVE. Spectral features such as the HeI photoionization edge at 504 A and the autoionization feature at 206 A as well as, the Hell photoionization edge at 228 A are fingerprints of the ISM typically detected in the EUVE spectra of hot DA. Effective temperatures both obtained from the fitting of pure hydrogen and metal-blanketed models are derived along with the ISM column densities of HI and HeI.
