Abstract
Thirty nine lines in beam-foil spectra between 750 and 2000Åhave been identified as2s22p23s–2s22p23pand2s22p23p–2s22p23dtransitions in Si VIII and S X. Experimental energy levels, calculatedgA values and branching ratios of the observed lines,obtained from semi-empirical configuration interaction calculations,are also presented.
