Abstract

Absorption, time-resolved emission spectra and decay times of LaAlO3 :Eu3+ are shown. It was found that LaAlO3:Eu3+ crystal exhibits very efficient emission. Observed peaks were assigned to the 5D3,2,1,0→7FJ transitions. The strongest emission is observed from the 5D0 level to the 7F1,2,4 levels. Decay time of the 5D0 emission was 2.44ms at 4.5K and weakly depends on temperature. Decay time of the 5D1 and 5D2 level is short and strongly depends on temperature. Energy levels of Eu3+ in LaAlO3 were assigned.
