Abstract

Acid sites in Co-substituted aluminophosphate CoAPO-11 and its redox properties have been investigated using UV-VIS and IR spectroscopy. The acquired data revealed the absence of the bridged OH groups as a common feature of MII-containing aluminophosphates. The behavior of Co2+/Co3+ couple in redox reactions was very different from that characteristic of supported cobalt ions.
