Abstract
Time-averaged emission spectra of a laser erosion plasma formed during the action of a neodymium laser [W=(3–5)×108 W/cm2, λg=1.06 μm, τ=20 ns, f=12 Hz] on a lead target were measured for laser torch regions spaced by r=1 and 7 mm from the target. The spatial dynamics of population of the excited states and the electron temperature in the laser torch are analyzed.
