Carbon dioxide chemistry is an important area of research and the use of transition metals is one of the most fruitful methods of CO2 activation. This chapter presents a summary of the available data concerning the spectroscopic (IR and NMR) and the structural characterization of stable carbon dioxide transition metal complexes.
