Abstract
Measurements of absorbance at 230 nm at pH 6.3 5,242 nm at pH 9.4 and at 273 nm at pH 13 are used to determine phenobarbital, N-methylphenobarbital and N-methoxy-methylphenobarbital in mixtures, in the presence of other drugs administered in epilepsy treatment and in the presence of serum components. The accuracy of the analysis is increased when phenobarbital is determined separately by differential pulse polarography.
