Abstract

The nuclide composition of five fuel hot particles is reported. A comparison with the content of standard type hot particles and reactor fuel is performed. The activities of the hot particles under investigation were determined by gamma and alpha spectrometry. An investigation by scintillation beta spectrometry was carried out for one of the hot particles, and the content of pure beta emitters determined. Methods and techniques for visualisation of these hot particles using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are described
