Abstract

The existing relay station---mobile station (RS---MS) selection schemes based on the full channel state information require the heavy feedback overhead between a base station, RSs, and MSs. Moreover, since RSs cannot transmit and receive simultaneously due to the half-duplex constraint, the data transmission via RSs results in a loss of spectral efficiency. In this paper, we propose an RS---MS selection scheme with limited feedback for multiuser cooperative networks. The aim of the proposed scheme is to enhance spectral efficiency exploiting diversity techniques. To enhance spectral efficiency, an incremental amplify-and-forward relaying scheme with limited feedback is presented. We analyze the end-to-end performance of the proposed scheme. In the simulation results, we compare the proposed scheme with the existing schemes and show the improvement of the spectral efficiency in terms of the effective capacity.
