Abstract
Schott's uv fiber optics with special organic cladding are supposed to increase the spectral transmission response at lower wavelengths. However, it was observed that chromatic dispersion occurred when certain geometrical arrangements of the fiber were made. Spectral transmission characteristics were analyzed in detail for both coherent and incoherent radiation sources. The cause of this chromatic dispersion is presently unknown.
