Abstract
Optical absorption and stimulated emission characteristics of free base (H2Pc) and metallated (Eu, VO, Zn) naphthalocyanines in dimethyl formamide (DMF) solvent are reported. Various spectroscopic and radiative parameters such as molar extinction coefficient (ε), electric dipole strength of the absorption band (q), oscillator strength (f), absorption and emission cross sections (σa and σe), excited state decay time (τ), fluorescence bandwidth (Δλ) and optical gain (G) of the system are measured and compared with those of reported solid matrix.
