Abstract

Within the accuracy of the first-order Born approximation, we investigate the scattering of Rectangular Gaussian Schell Model (RGSM) sources incident upon a deterministic medium. The analytical expression for the far-zone scattered spectrum is derived. Numerical results show that red shift or blue shift can be produced in the far-zone scattered spectrum, and the spectral shifts are mainly influenced by the scattering direction and the source parameters (i.e., the source width and the source correlation widths along the x and y directions).
