Abstract

Within the accuracy of the first-order Born approximation, the spectrum of a polychromatic stochastic electromagnetic vortex beam on scattering from a semisoft boundary medium is investigated. It is shown from the numerical results that the magnitude of the spectral shift and the position where the spectral switch occurs are affected by the scattering direction, the properties of the incident vortex beam and the scattering medium. It is also shown that the position where the spectral switch takes place will differ for an incident beam with vortex or not.
