Abstract

New boundary conditions for the decoupling of elliptically polarized eigenmodes in an anisotropic optical cavity are proposed. It is shown that twisting the optical axis changes the phase shift of the waves. The difference between the effective refraction indices is greater than the one between ordinary and extraordinary refraction indices.
