Abstract
The paper presents an analytical evaluation of a hybrid direct-sequence/frequency-hopped code division multiple access (DS/FH-CDMA) system employing non-coherent M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) modulation in a Rayleigh fading environment. Multiple access interference (MAI) is taken into account and the spectral efficiency is calculated for uncoded as well as convolutionally encoded systems.
