Abstract

The growth dynamics of intracavity absorption is studied during recording line absorption spectra by the method of intracavity laser spectroscopy using a pulsed Cr2+:ZnSe laser tunable between 2.1 and 3.1 μm. In the lasing duration range from 0 to 235 μs, an intracavity absorption signal increases linearly with time, providing the effective absorption length of 70km.
