Abstract

The results are given of an experimental investigation of the amplitude and spectral characteristics of the emission of a ruby laser excited by external light pulses. It is shown that such excitation can stabilize the frequency and amplitude of the output radiation of the ruby laser. The dependences of the degree of stabilization of the frequency and amplitude of the output radiation on the difference between the frequencies of the laser output and the external signal are reported.
