Abstract
Ablation for ventricular arrhythmias (VAs) with electroanatomic mapping (EAM) is first-line treatment in patients with sustained VAs refractory to medical therapy; however, VA recurrence is frequent. Speckle tracking echocardiography (STE) is a novel measure of myocardial deformation that detects subclinical dysfunction prior to overt LV dysfunction.
