Abstract

The deformation process of structural materials that have been developed intensively on the basis of new technologies, including engineering ceramics, is different from the deformation process of common structural materials. Relationships allowing for a proper description of the process of inelastic nonisothermal loading of components made of semibrittle materials by taking into account the physical peculiarities of the deformation process, such as a violation of the single-curve law, different resistance against strain and compression, a variation of the residual volume, etc., are presented.
