Abstract

Abstract The cultural determination of the managerial policies and practices is recognized and accepted within the modern theoretical and professional circles. The values, mentalities, generic ways of thinking and acting that define a culture, as well as the specific behaviors or patterns of interaction, which result from this cultural profile, have a major influence both on what happens within the economic organizations and on their management. To this purpose, by using the cultural dimensions of the model developed by Fons Trompenaars, the authors aimed to identify the main characteristics and the behaviors of the members of the culture and the management of the economic organizations in Romania.
